Community Food Access

Gretchen Boyer

Farmhands-Nourish the Flathead will facilitate this Community Conversation that explores ways that our communities can support better access to local, healthy food for all its members. Their hope is to engage SNAP recipients, farmers and food system enthusiasts to better understand barriers to local food access and ways in which we can address these barriers. Farm Hands’ Double SNAP Dollar program increased participation by 154% in 2016. It is their hope to continue this trend, so community understanding and input is key to making this program important and viable.
